I am enjoying your presentation. I live and breath Fourier transforms,, and Fourier transform algorithms
I give a series of lectures on the FFT and its applications….
More than just spectral analysis..
the folks at rice use the FFT to find the roots of polynomials which tend to hug the area around the unit circle… quite remarkable.
the FFT is also used to perform giant decimal products million digit products because convolution of sequences and products of integers are the same process (when you include the decimal carry)
and of course my favorite application is the un-aliasing of Nyquist zones in non maximally decimated polyphase filter banks.
send me your email address I’ll pass on some interesting papers and fun matlab code . my email fjharris@ucsd.edu
“Patreon” and “Buy me a coffee” are 2 different crowdfunding platforms that allow the people who enjoy my work to support it financially. “Patreon” is a monthly subscription whereas “Buy me a coffee” is a one-time payment.
All the videos and blog posts I produce are done in my spare time. I really enjoy the work, but the videos especially take ages to produce. My day job, which actually pays the bills, takes up most of my time meaning I don’t have as much time as I would like to work on the videos and blog. I really want to devote more time to the videos and this site, but I need financial support to do so. “Patreon” and “Buy me a coffee” enable people to give me that support which is greatly appreciated.
Would you like to learn about how the Fourier Series became the Fourier Transform, how the DFT and FFT work and what Windowing is? Please help me to devote more time to filming the rest of the video course by supporting me on Patreon.
Receive updates on the continuing production of the course, get notified when there is a new post or video and be the first to know when the full course goes live.

Thanks for your interesting comment. The papers and Matlab code sound interesting. You can email me at mark@themobilestudio.net.
By the way, I’m sure you have read my window paper… the joke I tell is:
my housekeeper does not do windows, but I do!
what does the buy me a coffee mean? I would do so in a drop of a hat!
